Bukit Lagong Hike

Lagong or Bukit Lagong is a small town and a forest reserve area in Selayang, Selangor, Malaysia, located between Kuang and Batu Caves. One of Guthrie Berhad's estates were located here, which were part of the "Guthrie Corridor". Selayang MPS have developed this area into a nature park and Permit is required to hike up the mountains. The height of the mountain is 572m (1,877 ft). It has 2 peaks - Bukit Nolang at 502m and Bukit Lagong at 572m. The distance from Trail head to Bukit Lagong Summit Beirut is around 5.6km and making a loop will give us a distance of around 12km. 

The trail begins at the parking lot, offering a convenient starting point for the hiking adventure. The first part of the trail consists of a mostly flat and well-maintained path. As you progress along the trail, you'll encounter the second part, which involves a gradual incline. Reaching the first CP, Bukit Lagong rewards you with a stunning panoramic view of the surrounding area. From this vantage point, you can admire the beauty of the rolling hills, dense forests and perhaps catch a glimpse of the distant horizon. It's a perfect opportunity to pause, catch your breath, and soak in the natural splendor of the scenery. Throughout your journey, you'll also encounter a variety of wildflowers and wildlife.

There are numerous trails on its slopes and it makes a great half-day outing, whether you want to reach the true summit or are content with the popular viewpoints. The Bukit Lagong summit features an overgrown Beirut but no views. You should be up here in around 3-4 hours from the trailhead.

The descending part can be direct same trail or turn left making a loop and exit via the Orang Asli village and exit through the Taman Rimba Bukit Lagong. It's time to exit and wash-up at the water fall or river stream. 

We provide a very leisure hiking session to enjoy nature for 4 hours and we can also organise hard Cardio Training Sessions from  hours - 3 hours. We will make sure your trip will be the best experience and worth the time spend. We also provide transport pick up from TBS / KL Central / Hotel and send back to hotel after finish the hiking. We recommend Hiking Time from 7am to 2pm. Guiding will be in English / Bahasa Malaysia / Tamil .

7.00am - Start Hiking Sessions.

2.30pm - End of Hiking Sessions.

Refund & Cancellation policy

For a full refund, you must cancel at least 72 hours before the hiking session. It will be helpful as the guides also have other assignment and we must prepare them with your request especially on the time / type of hiking.

1. If you cancel less than 72hours before the hiking session, the amount you paid will not be refunded.

2. Any changes made less than 72 hours before the hiking session start time will not be accepted.

3. Cut-off times are based on the local time.

4. This hiking sessions requires good weather / manageable risk to continue if weather become bad. the guide will assess the situation and discuss with clients before making decision. If it’s cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different time, date or a full 50% refund.
