Hiking is an excellent way to improve your physical and mental health, as well as explore the great outdoors. By following these tips and preparing adequately, you can enjoy a safe and enjoyable hiking experience. So why not grab a pair of hiking boots and hit the trails today? After reading all this, I hope you agree there is no reason not to give hiking, running or walking a go So grab your mates and get out there.Here some of the tips for beginners:-

  1. Planning

Make a plan on your route before going outdoor and explore. It's very important to consider on the route, how long and when to start and end. Carry map and make sure you have some knowledge on navigation and understand topography.

  1. Clothing

Make sure you are well dressed and appropriate for the hiking challenge. The clothing that you select must be suitable, comfortable, breathable and appropriate with the weather condition. Have some knowledge on Layering System to enjoy your hike.

  1. Hiking Shoe / Boot

Wear sturdy shoe that is comfortable, and suitable with the weather and terrain. Must be able to give us traction and grib on the terrain and challenges especially when descending. it must also support our feet - ankles and provide safety.

  1. Water & Snack

Carry enough water and snack for each hikes and make sure enough it's always more than enough. Use trail mix, fruits and energy bars including recovery drinks.

  1. First-Aid Kit

Always be prepared with simple basic first-aid-kit to support for minor injuries Like simple bandages, antiseptic and pain relievers.

  1. Leave no Trace

Let's come together and protect our natural environment. Pack our rubbish and don't leave behind any rubbish. Follow established trail etiquette.
