MOUNT KORBU GAYONG CLIMB

3 DAYS 2 NIGHTS

Mount Korbu stands 7162 feet (2183 meters) from sea level. Being the 2nd highest mountain in Malaysia after Mount Tahan. We have another Mount Gayong that stretches out a little bit further from Mount Korbu. Mount Gayong (2,173 m), is the fourth-highest mountain in Peninsular Malaysia, and can be reached in about an hour's trek from the peak of Mount Korbu. Both mountains are located in the State of Perak, Malaysia.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Meet-up with Team

07.00 am - Meeting point at Masjid An-nur, Batu 8, Ulu Kinta, Tambon, Ipoh.

08.00am - Team Briefing and porter coordination.

08.30 am - Proceed to Empangan Sultan Azlan Shah (SAS) Dam area.

09.00 am - Briefing and start hiking

12.30 pm - Arrival at Sungai Besar Waterfall and lunch.

05.00 pm - Arrival at Kem Seroja (2km, 800m asl)

06.00 pm - Dinner and set up tents.

Day 2: Summit attack

01.00 am - Wake up and Supper / Light meal.

02.00 am - Start Hiking

03.30 am - Kem Kijang.

05.30 am - Last water point. Break for 10-15 minutes.

06.30 am - Bukit Botak. Break for 15-20 minutes to regroup.

07.30 am - Reach Cuban Peak

09.15 am - Reach Anak Korbu

09.45 am - Arrival at Mount Korbu. Break for 10-15 minutes and continue trail to Gunung Gayong.

12.00 pm - Arrival at Mount Gayong (2.5KM, 2173m asl) and lunch.

01.00 pm - Start Descend

01.30 pm - Mount Korbu.

04.30 pm - Bukit Botak

05.30 pm - Last water point (1550m).

06.45 pm - Kem Kijang

08.30 pm - Arrival at Kem Seroja and dinner.

Day 3

09.00 am - Breakfast and packing.

10.00 am - Start descending.

01.00 pm: Lunch at Batu Besar’s Waterfall.

05.00 pm: Endpoint at The DAM and disperse.
