MOUNT TAHAN CLIMB

Gunung Tahan is the highest peak in Peninsular Malaysia (2,187m) which accessible to ascend and descend mountain, cross over rivers, long distance trekking and camp for days. This nature friendly mountain is located in Taman Negara which is one of the most challenging mountains to climb. The trek starts from Merapoh and ends at Merapoh as it requires you to be mentally and physically fit. Sufficient training prior to the trekking is important to accomplish your expedition plan.

ITINERARY

Day 1: Merapoh - Kuala Juram – Kem Kor

0830 Meetup at Merapoh National Park- registration & check-in 1030 Transfer by 4wd to trailhead Kuala Juram
1130 Arrive at Kuala Juram campsite. Lunch
1200 Start hike.

1430 Lata Luis (water point) 1630 Kem kor (water point) 1830 Dinner

Day 2: Kem Kor – Kem Botak

0700 Breakfast and packing
0800 Start hiking.
0930 Kem Pematang Angie (water point) 1130 Kem Kubang (water point)
1230 Kem Belumut - Lunch

1700 Kem Botak (water point)
1930 Dinner

Day 3: Hike from Kem Botak – Gunung Tahan summit – Descend to Kem Kubang

0830 Explore Crystal trek (brek rock summit, bonsai tree, waterfall, and crystal rock) 1100 Return

Day 4: Descend from Kem Kubang – Kem Kor
