Mulu Pinnacles Hike

Introduction

Itinerary

Day 1: Departure, Arrival and Cave Exploration

- Arrive at Mulu Airport and transfer to accommodation

- Free at leisure until 2PM

- Depart to Park HQ for a 3KM plank walk through the rainforest to Deer Cave and Langs Cave

- Visit the Bat Observatory to witness the evening bat exodus

- Trek back to Park HQ by torchlight and return to accommodation

Day 2: Cave Exploration and Trek to Camp 5 (D)

- After breakfast, depart at 8.30AM by longboat to Wind Cave and explore the ‘King’s Chamber’

- Continue to Clearwater Cave, then relax and swim in the nearby natural pool.

- Enjoy a simple picnic or packed lunch

- Take a 45-minute boat ride to Kuala Litut, then trek 9KM to Camp 5

- Free and easy until dinner, followed by a briefing for the next day’s journey

- Rest overnight at Camp 5

Day 3: Pinnacles Viewpoint Hike (B/L/D)

- After breakfast, hike 2.4KM to the Pinnacles viewpoint, navigating roots and rocky terrain

- Enjoy the stunning scenery while having a packed lunch

- Descend back to Camp 5

- Dinner and rest

Day 4: Return Journey (B/L/D)

- After breakfast, trek 9KM back to Kuala Litut

- Take a boat ride to the accommodation from Day 1 for a shower and packed lunch

- Transfer to Mulu Airport for departure flight
